Aurea Bolaños Perea immigrated from Tijuana, BC. Mexico at 12 years old, and moved to San Diego, CA with her mother. In 2019, she graduated from CSU Chico with a Masters in Political Science with Distinction. She consistently looks for opportunities to support the reproductive justice movement, empower women to run for elected office, or seek non-profit organizations that need help organizing their communications strategy.

 

 Her work encompasses organizing actions for racial and gender justice, training and coaching elected leaders, and speaking publicly on issues such as abortion rights, language justice, and women’s empowerment. Aurea is currently a 2024 Equality Now Fellow for Advancing the Rights of Women and Girls in the U.S.
